Amendment VIII

Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted. This amendment is pretty self-explanatory. It protects citizens from cruel and unusual punishment as well as no excessive fines. This video gives a good visual of what cruel and unusual punishment is. It only provides examples of physical unusual punishment, but what about the verbal and nonphysical unusual punishment?
