Amendment III No Soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the Owner, nor in time of war, but in a matter to be prescribed by law.
This allows for citizens to keep their homes private from soldiers. In sum, no citizen may be forced to house soldiers. This is not something we have to worry about too much these days!
This video is great explanation as to how unusual the third amendment is used. However, I ave to agree that this story is bizarre. The third amendment is not spoke of, yet in this story it has became an issue. The man's home they invaded had his right violated.
Amendment II A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right to the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed. This amendment gives people the right to bear arms. It gives citizens to the right to protect themselves by having guns; if they feel that is their best protection.
I chose this video because it gives a point of view from a citizen of the United States who has fought for our country and protects other citizens for a living. This video is an example of one side of the argument that stands today. Some of the points he makes in the video will cause one to stop and think before making accusations and false statements. His passion in the video is what greatly caught my attention.
