Amendment III

No Soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the Owner, nor in time of war, but in a matter to be prescribed by law.

This allows for citizens to keep their homes private from soldiers. In sum, no citizen may be forced to house soldiers. This is not something we have to worry about too much these days!

This video is great explanation as to how unusual the third amendment is used. However, I ave to agree that this story is bizarre. The third amendment is not spoke of, yet in this story it has became an issue. The man's home they invaded had his right violated.
